The 55 metre trimaran fast passenger ferry Dolphin Ulsan has operated a daily return crossing of the Korea Strait for over two years.

The vessel carries 450 passengers at 40 knots with 6,960 BKW of installed power. An equivalent catamaran will have less sea keeping ability and require 25% more power to achieve the same speed.

The trimaran provides a superior ride for passengers whilst saving the operator US$550,000 annually in fuel and engine maintenance.
